The fight against evil Autobots on two Earths comes to a head as the mighty Nexus Prime arrives, and everything is set to change forever...
Synopsis
On Shatteredverse Earth, everyone on the battlefield at Decepticon City stops fighting and turns to look as Galvatron pulls the trigger and Optimus Prime falls back, a smoldering hole left in his chest. His plan a success, Rodimus gloats over the body of his fallen leader.

Meanwhile, on Classicsverse Earth, Ultra Magnus and Ultra Mammoth have collapsed following the collision of the former's Terminus Blade with the latter's Origin Matrix. Mammoth is the first to recover, and realizes that the two sibling artifacts would never have acted to destroy one another—rather, the energy unleashed by the Matrix was intended to restore the Terminus Blade to its full power. Magnus awakens and, recharged blade in hand, renews his attack with gleeful abandon, already making plans to use the sword to resume his plans—after he uses it to obliterate his enemies. Mammoth's forces are sent scattering by the huge energy-arcs the blade flings at them, and the Origin Matrix is sent flying. Pinned beneath rubble, Mammoth thinks all is lost... until suddenly, a hand reaches down to pick the Matrix up. Nexus Prime has arrived, and with the Origin Matrix now in his possession, he has collected all the scattered pieces of the Star Saber! Reassembling the fabled sword, Nexus Prime attacks Magnus, cleaving his arm off and taking the Terminus Blade from him. Magnus attempts to flee, but Nexus uses the Terminus Blade to cut open a hole in space in front of him, through which the evil Autobot tumbles, sent to some ghoulish dimension of Nexus's choosing that will serve as a fitting home for him. Nexus explains to Mammoth and his men that he cannot repair the damage Magnus has done to the multiverse, but using the two swords, he can mitigate it. With the enigmatic claim that he is going to return things to "how they used to be", the ancient combiner disappears away across the multiverse...
Back on Shatteredverse Earth, Rodimus calls for a retreat, but the wounded Optimus petitions Blaster to take him with the fleeing Autobots. The Decepticons watch as the Autobots flee, but although Starscream is jubilant, Galvatron can sense that something out in the multiverse has changed...

Notes
Continuity notes
- Five years later, it's finally revealed what Wheeljack did with the Forestonite sample he got from Slicer back in Timelines #5—he used as part of a failed attempt to re-energize the Terminus Blade for Ultra Magnus.
- Nexus Prime returns, having last been seen over five years prior in issue #31. He completes the reassembly of the Star Saber, a plot that has, in effect, between building over ten years, since the very start of the Collectors' Club magazine storyline.
- This issue reveals that G1 Grimlock was responsible for the grievous injuries to SG Prowl, Inferno, and Ratchet seen in the prologue.
Transformers references
- This issue continues the "Shatteredverse" take on The Transformers: The Movie, complete with paraphrased dialogue. Optimus falls just as Megatron did in the film, then calls for Blaster to help him as the Autobots escape aboard Sky Lynx, with Starscream taking Kup's role as stater of the obvious in the face of the Decepticons' retreat.
