Continuity notes

• Megatron suggesting the Colosseum (or at least a similar structure) and his unabashed glee at the duel between Sky-Byte and Jetfire (even urging Jetfire to finish Sky-Byte off when he has Sky-Byte on the ropes) aren't surprising given his own background as a gladiator. This aspect of him was brought up as recently as Trials, where he mentioned one of his most famous matches.
• Also from Trials, in that episode Cheetor used the AllSpark to grant armour based on their "Elite class" toys. In this episode Starscream does the same for Sky-Byte and Jetfire.

Real-world references

• The location Megatron suggests Sky-Byte and Jetfire meet is based on the famed Colosseum in Rome. It seems to be much too small to be the actual Colosseum, though. Given it was one of the places made famous by gladiator games and Megatron's own past as a gladiator, it's perhaps unsurprising that he has such an affinity for that sort of place.
