The Autobots celebrate their newfound victory, but the party quickly takes a violent turn.
Synopsis
Optimus Prime is doing a prime log when he is suddenly informed by Bumblebee of a C-class emergency. But when he gets there, it turns out to be a surprise party. All the Autobots are excited to hear his speech but it clearly a let down. Luckily for him, Grimlock makes it way more happier. During the party, Ratchet gets angry at a random Autobot soldier and Prowl and Hot Rod have a race. During the party, Wheeljack hands out his latest creation that, according him, feels like energon times ten. Rack'n'Ruin decide to give some to the guards guarding Starscream but they trip over a cable and fall down, spilling the entire thing. One of them gets into Starscream's cell. Starscream does something to Wheeljack's creation, causing the the personalities of the Autobots wearing it to change. Soon, the Autobots start duking it out with each other, with Optimus Prime, Cheetor and Teletraan-X being the only ones who can stop the madness. Fighting them does not calm them down however and soon, ALL the affected Autobots run after them. Luckily, Teletraan-x is able to seal the hangar in time. The three Autobots go into the cell Starscream is being held in where they discovered that Starscream has hacked the creation, causing the energon to fry the circuits of whoever wears it. The emitter at the other side of the Ark must be shut down to restore the affected Autobots. At that moment, the affected Autobots end up escaping the hangar and run into the corridors. They are forced to fight their friends to get there. They eventually get there and Optimus Prime is able to deactivate it. The affected Autobots return to normal. The party is a bit awkward after that incident and no one is having fun. To restore the happiness, Optimus Prime puts on some Earth music and starts dancing. This brings back the mood and everyone starts dancing.

Quotes
Notes
Continuity notes
Transformers references
- Wheeljack's clip-on emitters play a similar role to the energon stars from Transformers: Energon.
- The symptoms exhibited by the Autobots strongly resemble those of the Hate Plague introduced in The Transformers episode "The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1". Rather than the affected's entire bodies turning red, however, only their optics change, as was the case with the plague's new strand in the Beast Machines episode "A Wolf in the Fold".
- The idea of Optimus Prime finding it difficult to relax and have fun is something that has seen traction in both the 2005 IDW comics continuity and Aligned continuity. It was even hinted at as far back as the Marvel Comics Transformers Universe bios, where Smokescreen's bio included mention of how as commander there is naturally a barrier between Optimus and the other Autobots, preventing him from ever truly befriending his soldiers.
Real-world references
- Optimus begins the episode by making a Captain's Log, famously done by Star Trek.
Trivia
- Having last appeared in "The Visitor" looking identical to his time as Deadlock, Drift appears here in a new body sporting his Generation 1 counterpart's traditional color scheme. No explanation is offered for the sudden change.
- This is the first time in the history of Transformers that an Optimus Prime can be seen dancing.
Animation and technical errors
- Despite the aforementioned change in Drift's appearance, he appears in his original design during one shot in the final scene.
