Hot Rod takes Bumblebee and Cheetor spaceboarding through an asteroid field where they encounter Sharkticons.

Synopsis

In space, Hot Rod and Bumblebee are cleaning the Ark's window from the from the outside, with Hot Rod complaining about how he and Bumblebee are always getting window duty. They soon start chasing each other with whatever their using to clean the windows when they turn around and realize the ship is entering an asteroid field. The two bots quickly get inside the ship, but not before Hot Rod comments on how much asteroids there are in the asteroid field.

Inside the ship, Optimus Prime declares that they have to take a safer route. Teletraan-X is able to find one, but mentions that the solar winds are really strong today. That doesn't bother Hot Rod and Bumblebee however as both of them are thinking the same thing with Cheetor unaware as to what they are thinking.

Bumblebee, Hot Rod and Cheetor head to the launch pad to get their Solar-Wave Boards where Hot Rod and Bumblebee explain to Cheetor that they plan to surf the solar winds and asteroids. Cheetor is concerned about leaving the ark but Hot Rod reassures him that they will be waiting for it on the other side. This immediately makes Cheetor excited and ready for someone 'awesome'.

The three jump out of the ship with Cheetor not particularly enjoying himself. This does not diminish Hot Rod and Bumblebee's fun as they do all sorts of stunts and go through a doughnut shaped asteroid. They decide to take a break, where they give Cheetor some tips and encouragement. Cheetor is able to balance the solar-wave board by transforming into a cheetah and is able to do some very complicated stunts, impressing both Bumblebee and Hot Rod. Hot Rod and Bumblebee decide break time is over and go back to surfing, unaware that something is in the asteroid fields.

In the asteroid fields, Bumblebee realizes that something is strange about the asteroids in the asteroid fields and the trio soon realize that the 'asteroids' are actually remains of a temple. They manage to rebuild it but before they even get a chance to admire their work, Cheetor hears a crackling noise and they soon realize that a solar wave is heading their way. They quickly get out of there but Cheetor is unable to escape in time.

Cheetor awakens, he is greeted by two Sharkticons and is unable to contact Bumblebee and Hot Rod. The big boss of the Sharkticons greet him and tells him that he is on their turf. Cheetor tries to leave but the Sharkticons aren't to willing to let him leave. Cheetor fights a few of them of and is ready to battle the big boss, but he's impressed by Cheetor, so he decides to allow him into the fleet. The big boss then tells his 'fins' that they are going to the Park and almost all the fins carry Cheetor with them against his will

At the park, Cheetor asks the big boss of the Sharkticons as to why their world is in pieces, in which the Sharkticon explains to him that their planet was destroyed and that the park is the biggest chunk left. However, the tails have taken over it and now, the fins are going to take it back with Cheetor's help. Then the tails arrive and reveal that they have a warrior of their own, Bumblebee. Cheetor and Bumblebee are happy that neither of them were wiped out in the solar wave but the fins and tails still rush into battle. Then another Sharkticon group called the snouts enter the battlefield with Hot Rod as their warrior. The battle becomes even more violent and only stops when Cheetors give a massive growl.

Cheetor points out that they are stronger together than apart and all of the groups agree on that and decide join together, to get them. The trio immediately surf out of there with the Sharkticons on their trail. The are able to get back to the ark in the nick of time but Cheetor get the allspark out and uses it to restore the Sharkticons' homeworld. Though it has some cracks, the Sharkticons appear to be happy about having their homeworld back and all three groups have a truce.
