Talk:Ironworks (Micromaster)
This page says that Ironworks was not shown in "Invasion", but the page for that issue lists him amongst the characters. Which is correct? --flicky1991 04:41, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
- The page for Invasion. Really, it's because Invasion is such a halfassed story that no one bothers to edit the character articles for them. Escargon 06:10, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
Given the upcoming Earthrise Ironworks toy, and the fact that Irontread was both renamed and has a non-Ironworks head and chest (specifically based off of yet another character), I question the assumption that Irontread is the same character as G1 Ironworks.--G.B. - The deco and name are too close to the G1 original for me to dismiss, while the head and chest seem like a way to potentially get another redeco out of this base mold. As for the upcoming Ironworks toy, that just makes me think that Hasbro was able to get the trademark back in between releases. Think of how long we went having only "Shockblast"s and "Silverstreak"s before Hasbro sorted out those trademarks. --Khajidha (talk) 13:38, 3 October 2019 (EDT)
Okay, so Saix recently moved the Earthrise figure to the page for the construction station, with the rationale that "It's the construction station, not the Micromaster". It seems more likely to me that the new toy represents the same character as the original Micromaster, but in a new body that homages the construction station. The fact that the Micromaster just had a toy (with a new name) in Siege doesn't really hold much weight for me. Characters get new toys in successive toy lines all the time. The idea that the station would be converted into a new character who shares a name with the original character seems odd to me. Yes, it should be mentioned on the construction station page as an homage, but I still feel its main location should be here. Opening the topic for discussion. --Khajidha (talk) 09:28, 6 October 2019 (EDT)
