Alpha Trion's fate

Is this really a continuity error? If the only source that says he's dead is a DVD commentary, isn't that authorial intent? In other words, not canon. "To make matters even worse..." Isn't it GOOD that neither the show nor the book define his fate? How is a continuity error if they both say nothing on the subject? --Crockalley (talk) 16:00, 10 May 2014 (EDT)

About the Matrix

Optimus took the Matrix twice? During the Rust Age and the Great War? "Eventually Orion succeeded in retrieving the Matrix and it reawakened him as the member of the Thirteen he had once been. Optimus Prime's ancient memories were returned and he had been born anew." and "But Primus was wounded enough that he would need to shut down to regenerate. He placed a portion of his own spark in the Matrix of Leadership and gave it to Optimus Prime. It was this gift that restored Optimus Prime to his original Thirteen self."
