The 2019 IDW continuity serves as the reboot to IDW Publishing's Transformers line as a whole, beginning in March 2019 and running into the foreseeable future. As per tradition, this new iteration of the continuity is a new, separate story, entirely divorced from the 2005 IDW continuity and its decades-long story arc that concluded with 2018's Unicron miniseries. Despite this, however, the continuity has featured an unusually high number of IDW-original returning characters, and many concepts have been mined from its predecessor and adjusted to fit into this new universe.
Unusually for a Transformers story, which generally begin in medias res, with the Autobot-Decepticon war well underway, this comic begins at the chronological beginning of the Great War.

Transformers
The primary ongoing comic written by Brian Ruckley, Transformers opens on a peaceful, egalitarian Cybertron rocked by the first murder in living memory—a murder with far-reaching repercussions for both Orion Pax, his allies, and Megatron, the conflicted leader of the self-styled Ascenticons.
Transformers: Galaxies
Transformers: Galaxies serves as a companion piece to the main Transformers ongoing, a spiritual successor of sorts to the Spotlight issues that helped to flesh out original IDW continuity. An anthology of side stories, each new arc features a new creative team, telling stories set far away from Cybertron.
