Dr. Flaskenstein is a member of the Science Alliance from BotBots.

Sure, some bots may think it was energon power that brought them to life, but Dr. Flaskenstein knows the truth. This mad scientist bot knows it was his chemical concoction that was responsible for the creation of the Botbots, even if nobody else believes it. In order to prove himself right and have his genius recognized, the doctor has embarked on a series of experiments on non-bot objects, hoping to replicate the effects.
