Astrotrain is a Decepticon shuttle from the Cyberverse continuity family.

Astrotrain presents a mystery to certain Autobots that have seen him dwarfing the likes of his fellow Decepticons, only to sullenly carry troops around anyway. Sounds familiar.

What the Decepticons know is that he was living under the rule of a tyrant, before a more tolerable tyrant and a jerk appeared and freed him in return for his loyalty. Sure, saving the world or enforcing dictatorships in a completely different part of the multiverse isn't his idea of freedom, but, well, it was a really cruel tyrant, okay?

It is unknown if he can transform into a train, but considering he's scanned a sweet space shuttle, why would he want to?

Megatron found Astrotrain when exploring the multiverse with Dead End. Astrotrain transported Megatron and Dead End to Starscream. He and Dead End attempted to seal off the portal to unspace, but Astrotrain was seized by a Quintesson-controlled Croaton, only to be freed when Windblade removed the Quintesson influence from the Titan's mind. Astrotrain used a beam to start closing the portal, but his forcefield began failing when an angry Starscream retaliated. He was saved by Megatron and Optimus Prime, and closed the portal completely.

Astrotrain later transported several Decepticon troops to Megatron's meeting with Optimus. The End Of The Universe IV He was later witnessed by Bumblebee as Megatron sent him to patrol the barrier between Autobot and Decepticon territories. Enemy Line
