Megatron X (Cyberverse)

Megatron X is a Decepticon from the Cyberverse continuity family.

An alternate dimension version of Megatron, Megatron X was different in many ways. Actually having the nerve to kill his version of Optimus and downright steal his Matrix of Leadership, he did what his primary universe counterpart failed to do... but with more tyranny than the primary version every used.

This version of Megatron followed his timeline up to when the Optimus Prime of his timeline came to give his opinion on his tactics, but unlike the primary timeline Megatron, X shot Optimus in the chest and killed him before taking the Matrix of Leadership from his foe's chest. He then made his perfect troopers and eradicated the Autobots of his universe, creating Astrotrain and the Insecticons as additional servants. Ultimately, they grew fed up with his abuse, and teamed up with the primary reality Megatron and his universe's Dead End. They managed to steal his matrix and escape to the primary universe, but Megatron X soon tracked them down, and killing his alternate counterpart, attempted to retake the matrix, but it was swiped by the primary universe Bumblebee. The scout evaded X as long as he could, but the tyrant managed to seize the Matrix. Just before terminating the scout, the primary reality Optimus prevented him, and they soon engaged in a duel of the Matrix blasts. X originally held the advantage, but unbeknownst to him, his Matrix contained a mind fragment of the primary universe's Windblade, who destroyed the Matrix from the inside on the orders of the Optimus from his universe. He was soon felled, and was imprisoned inside Astrotrain following his defeat.

• To differenciate him from the primary Megatron, X was almost half the height of Astrotrain and featured a prominently darker color scheme.
