Originally part of a flock, Laserbeak was captured by Soundwave, who gave him his name and role as his partner-in-crime. The Scientist
Believing the Decepticons had the AllSpark, the Autobots launched an attack on the Nemesis. During the battle, Laserbeak got into a dogfight with Windblade. Dark Birth
Laserbeak pursued a recently-escaped Chromia and although he was knocked aside, Soundwave was able to detain the Autobot. The Battle For Cybertron I During the subsequent Autobot-Decepticon battle, Laserbeak attacked Teletraan-X, only to get shot off by Whirl. The Battle For Cybertron II
Later, after infiltrating a Quintesson stronghold to free the Autobots and Decepticons imprisoned inside, Soundwave and Hot Rod managed to find the location of the control node holding their allies in a simulation. - Cyberverse Laserbeak extends from Soundwave's chest when his Action Attack is activated. He's cast in translucent pink plastic with painted eyes and cannot actually detach from Soundwave.
