Searching for Windblade, Bumblebee and Chromia discover that the legendary Crystal City holds many secrets.
Synopsis
In a forest at night, 2 troopers - 1 Autobot, 1 Decepticon - sprint out from the trees the a panic, the Autobot writing down a warning for future travelers. A loud howl sends them racing into the distance, as the crystal wolf-bot it came from howls at the moon.
In the present day, the forest is approached by Autobots Bumblebee and Chromia, using an ancient Camien psychic tracker to find a piece of Windblade's mind. She follows the signal into the forest, and despite his apprehension due to the warning he found, Bee follows her into the trees. They eventually run into a singlehorn, but as they admire it, the tracker goes off and it scares the creature away. The follow the signal to the legendary Crystal City, but the city's composition scrambles the tracker, but as they go on, neither of the witness their reflections moving on the own accord and walking off the walls...
The tracker once again gets scrambled, forcing them to split up. Bee ends up going in a circle, and after failing to contact Chromia, goes down her trail to find her. He eventually find the fembot in a strange appearance, and she greets him with a glare...
Meanwhile, Chromia is able to relocate Windblade's shard, and runs into Bumblebee... albeit a tad shinier than usual. The 2 end up fighting each other, and the real Bumblebee finds out the hard way that firing lasers at a reflective opponent is a really bad idea. His stinger also fails, and he finds Chromia fighting a crystal double of himself. The Chromia double then punches Bee into a wall... which starts absorbing him. He escapes with a multiversal burst of energy, shattering nearby crystals (including their doubles) and knocking Chromia to the floor. He then checks her, but behind him, a wolf-bot prowls up and pounces...
...On another Bumblebee double, before transforming and slashing the fake Chromia with his sword. Thanking them, Bee inquires the bot's identity, and he introduces himself as Thunderhowl, knight of the Primes, who as it turns out, was sent on a mission to destroy Crystal City before he got trapped. He allies with them, and the set off the the main stronghold of Crystal City in search of Windblade's mind fragment.
While Bee informs Thunderhowl of recent events, Chromia locates Windblade's shard, in the city's tallest structure. Coming to a maze, Thuunderhowl suggests a back-to-back infiltration, but Bee and Chromia simply opt to charge up with multiverse energy and smash through the walls. Smashing their way past the duplicates, they come upon the crystalline king, with Chromia detecting Windblade's shard inside him. Thunderhowl then proceeds to charge him, but the crystalline king proceeds to generate an army of Windblade clones. They eventually managed to sneak Bumblebee up to the entity, but more clones proceed to pin him down. Unleashing his multiverse energy, Bumblebee shatters the clones and the crystalline king, exposing Windblade's shard in the process.
Unfortunately, the king's destruction means his palace begins to crumble, but luckily, the questers escape alive. Ratchet congratulates the two and begins repairing Windblade, while Thunderhowl pledges his loyalty to Optimus Prime. He gets accepted before his speech is finished, as Prime literally has a lot on weight on his hands.

Continuity notes
- Thunderhowl appears to have been trapped sometime during the Age of Expansion given his questions about Iaconus and the Titan's conquering of other planets, all details that were established in "The Citizen".
- Thunderhowl mentions he was serving a Prime, but funnily enough that Prime goes conspicuously un-identified. However, we know Maccadam, later revealed to be Alchemist Prime, was around and about at the time, leading the fight against Iaconus. Hmm...

- Crystal City was introduced waaaaaayyyy back in The Transformers episode "The Secret of Omega Supreme". It's shown up in plenty other pieces of fiction since then, but this is the first time it's reappeared on television in all that time.
