Transform-ups are a minor punishment from the Animated continuity family.

A transform-up is a minor punishment for misbehaving Autobot boot camp cadets. It involves the Transformer being forced to lie in a prone position and rapidly transform to and from their alternate mode. Generally enforced en masse, it is similar in effect to push-ups in humans.

Known as "mode-drilling" and considered a particularly harsh method of training, Roadbuster suffered through it as a cadet. When he became an instructor, he made his own cadets mode-drill and under the toxic influence of Tarantulas, sometimes forced them to change forms so many times they died from the experience. Hubcap was one of the only survivors of Roadbuster's "training." Sins of the Wreckers issue 4
