Synopsis

[edit]Wheeljack has been working on the Chrono-Vector to potentially harness the energies of New Quintessa and perhaps even time travel. Unfortunately, Grimlock falls to temptation and takes the Chrono-Vector, using it to travel back in time to alter the Cybertronian War. Wheeljack alerts Optimus Prime to the potential catastrophe and the two decide follow the Dinobot.
To make sure their presence doesn't change history, Wheeljack brings along the Memory-Jammer to erase any memories of their intrusion. Just as they're about to power up the spare Chrono-Vector, they're interrupted by Hound, who thinks Grimlock has a point and that things could change for the better. Optimus Prime doesn't agree with the risk, and Hound fights the others but loses.
Wheeljack and Optimus Prime end up back on Cybertron during the war and Prime is unsettled by the familiar setting. They soon meet with the native Ultra Magnus, who doesn't understand what the two are attempting and tries to forcibly stop them from attacking Autobot troops but is subdued.
The duo finally find Grimlock, who is unsurprisingly not receptive to the other Autobots' arguments against altering the timeline. Grimlock battles back and is defeated.
