Depth Charge had friends on Starbase Rugby but apparently spent little time there.

During Depth Charge's hunt for Protoform X, the villainous Transformer destroyed the base and devoured some of the inhabitants. Rampage (nee X) brought it up during their pair's final battle near the Nemesis, in order to goad Depth Charge into fighting: taunting him that he'd had "no time for Starbase Rugby" and his friends, and they'd been... quite tasty. Notes

• The station's name is another call out to the fan community by the Beast Wars writers. In this case, "Rugby's Starbase" was a toy retailer and fixture of the BotCon dealer room for years.
• Starbase Rugby is the only detail we hear about Depth Charge's hunt for Rampage and confirms that the bastard was killing more people after Colony Omicron.
• Rampage's taunt implies that he attacked Starbase Rugby because Depth Charge had friends there.
