Kuwagatrer

Kuwagatrer is a Waruder mech from the Diaclone continuity family.

Piloted by Beet-Chit, Kuwagatrer (クワガトラー Kuwagatorā) is one of the multitude of cybernetic mechs employed by the Waruder army in their quest to consume everything in the galaxy.

Fiction

TransTech

Shortly after arriving on the Earth of his dimension, Beet-Chit/Kuwagatrer's forces ran into a battle with human forces, which culminated in Kuwagatrer being lost and Beet-Chit's forces being shunted onto the Cybertron of another universe. In the lower levels of Axiom Nexus, Beet-Chit eventually encountered a lost Zaptrap drone. Noting Zaptrap's similarity to his Kuwagatrer unit, Beet-Chit adopted the Zaptrap as his new mech. Diaclone

• Kuwagatrer (Insecter Robo, 1983)

Kuwagatrer was a Diaclone toy which provided the mold that was redecoed as Generation 1 Shrapnel. Years later, Takara would redeco Shrapnel in Kuwagatrer's colors as Collector's Edition Zaptrap. Fun Publications would also do the same for Generations Skrapnel to make a Timelines Zaptrap.

• Kuwagatrer's name is a play on "kuwagata" (鍬形), the Japanese term for "stag beetle".
