To hide the AllSpark from the Decepticons, the Autobots threw it through a space bridge to a random location. It ended up on an asteroid in the Azazel asteroid belt.

Four million years later, Optimus Prime's crew was repairing space bridge RA-678 when they discovered the AllSpark. Soon after, the Nemesis arrived, its Decepticon crew seeking the AllSpark.
