Galvatron emerges on New Quintessa.

Synopsis

[edit]

Rumblings

[edit]

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee talk after Bumblebee has returned from a scouting trip, and Bumblebee mentions that he's detected a certain mood of insanity that's recently arrived. They run into Motormaster, who lets go of the fact that a new boss is in town and he's a bit trigger-happy. Motormaster challenges the Autobots in the hopes of impressing his new boss, but loses. Ramjet, also been pulled into the new boss's leadership, is set loose on the Autobots, but is taken care of. Ultra Magnus has a suspicion of who this new leader is, eventually admitting it to be Galvatron, who hasn't been defeated in his reality.

Confirmation

[edit]

Starscream, arrogantly proclaiming Galvatron his co-leader, fights the Autobots; although he fails, his battle served as a test for Galvatron, allowing him to size up his enemies. Ultra Magnus, wracked with guilt for his failure to stop Galvatron in his native universe, refuses to allow the other Autobots to face Galvatron, but sense is knocked into him.

Showdown

[edit]

The Autobots soon find not Galvatron, but Megatron in the wastelands! The Decepticon is bemused by the fearful deference to Galvatron, considering it only a name forced on him by humans when they attempted to control all Cybertronians. Bumblebee fills him in on the backstory of this Galvatron—the vanquished Megatron was revived by Unicron as Galvatron, the most powerful Decepticon ever, a description that sets off Megatron. Eager to prove his superiority, Megatron seeks out this "Galvatron".

Galvatron and Megatron soon confront each other, but Megatron's wound make him unable to truly battle his counterpart. Motormaster and Ramjet limp back to their boss, but their leader repays their service by literally shooting them in the back. The Autobots finally catch up with Galvatron himself and the crazed Decepticon draws them into a fight, only to be defeated.
