Snarl (Animated)

Snarl is an Autobot from the Transformers Animated continuity family.

"Me Snarl think chest nose on fire."

Snarl is a Triceratops Dinobot. Going by past experience, he may not be open to hugging. He has a big, BIG club for a weapon, so he may be open to clubbing. Whether or not it's the building or you he's clubbing remains to be seen.

Snarl, like the other two Dinobots, began life as an animatronic robot at Dino Drive, where he/it was damaged by an over-enthusiastic Bulkhead. He was upgraded with Cybertronian technology in Isaac Sumdac's lab (with the help of Megatron), and further modified by a burst of All Spark energy. He then spent his time breathing fire and breaking things. He also swallowed a missile, which is just beyond cool.

He, along with Swoop, did not transform during the course of his early life. It is possible he didn't know he could do it until Grimlock discovered he could. Blast from the Past

Me Snarl think me beast mode is discoloured.

During transformation, his dino head becomes his chest and he ends up carrying a club. His beast mode limbs form his arms and legs; seems strangely familiar

Trivia

• Snarl was obviously designed to be the Animated incarnation of the Generation 1 Dinobot Slag. (Preproduction shots even bore the name Slag.) However, it seems there were some trademark problems, forcing Hasbro to change his name. Slag!
