Independent from both the Autobots and Decepticons, the Mercenaries are dangerous, skilled operatives whose only allegiance is to getting paid and to whichever side they find most beneficial at the time.[1]

A group of mercenaries led by faulty clone Soundblaster frequently received Energon from Bumblebee. However, during one of these transactions, the bot, accompanied by Autobots Arcee and Cog Siege episode 5, made off with a few pieces of the much-desired material in an effort to bring the Ark online, despite the mercenaries' attempts to stop them. The Decepticon-branded Siege Soundblaster is depicted with a Mercenary symbol in the War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon.
War for Cybertron: Earthrise
Doubledealer's package is outwardly branded as a Decepticon, but features Mercenary symbols on the inner cardboard backdrop and the instructions. He also features changeable Autobot/Decepticon symbols on his shoulders in robot mode.
Snapdragon was shown to be a Mercenary at New York Toy Fair 2020, but was released as a Decepticon.
Generations Selects
Exhaust is the first release to feature a Mercenary symbol on the toy itself.
