Bob Harras and others have been laid off from DC Comics

After serving as DC Comics' editor-in-chief for 10 years, Bob Harras has been laid off. (In 1985, Harras was promoted to editor, after serving as Ralph Macchio's assistant for at least two years. In 1992, he was promoted to X-Men Group Editor. In 1995, he was promoted to X-Men Group Editor-in-Chief. Later in 1995, he was named Marvel Comics' overall editor-in-chief. In 2000, he left Marvel Comics.)

Also, Bobbie Chase--DC Comics' vice-president of global publishing initiatives and digital strategy--has been laid off. (From 1986 to 1988, Chase served as Harras' assistant editor. (They edited all of the G.I. Joe titles Marvel had published.) In 1988, she was promoted to editor (and took over all of the G.I. Joe titles Marvel had published). In 1992, she was promoted to Ghost Rider Group Editor. In 1995, she was promoted to Marvel Edge (a short-lived imprint) editor-in-chief. But in 1996, she was demoted to editor--and sometime later, she defected to DC Comics.)
