According to the Quintesson Journal, the Quintessons enhanced primitive worlds with advanced technology that secretly produced heavy pollution that would result in chemical rains that destroyed the planet's native vegetation. Afterwards, the Quintessons would offer their "aid" by producing plantobots for a price. TQJ
