Setting

Set directly before the movie Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, the game follows the story of the Autobots around three years after the events of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. The story follows the events and actions of both factions leading to the reactivation of Shockwave, a deadly cybertronian assassin which the Decepticons hope to employ.

Gameplay

The game is mostly a third person shooter and has players battle numerous types of enemies in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Unlike its predecessors, Transformers: Dark of the Moon: The Game features a singular campaign rather than one for both sides, with players alternating between the Autobots' and the Decepticons' perspective between levels.

Campaign

Level 1: Having A Blast The initial gameplay begins when Mirage experiments with the third, hybrid mode that Que engineered into their bodies. This third form is known as Stealth Force Mode. The entire wii variant of the game is either played in this hybrid mode or in vehicle mode leaving no choice for transformation into their robot mode. For new players, the game will guide you through the first level and give you tips on how to play. A wii remote and a wii nunchuck is required for this game.

Level 2: Infiltration Bumblebee is sent on a mission to destroy as many Decepticons as possible and break into their lair.

Level 3: Hacking The System Bumblebee has broken in to the Decepticon HQ and must activate the terminals to upload a tracking program that will allow the Autobots to trace the Decepticon's every move.

Level 4: Optimus Charge Optimus Prime, charging after Bumblebee, is late to drive through the Decepticon's door before it closes. Playing as Optimus, you must destroy the gate and enter before the Decepticons get to Bumblebee.

Level 5: Satellite Reception Que is uploading a trace program via the terminals that Bumblebee activated, but the Decepticons know what the Autobots are up to and attempt to destroy the uplink servers. Que informs Optimus that if even one of the terminals are destroyed, all is lost. Optimus makes it his mission to protect all of the uplink servers, hoping Bumblebee makes it out alive.

Level 6: Extraction After the trace program is uploaded, the Decepticons fight hard to destroy Optimus. Stratosphere lets Optimus know that he in on route to extract him and Bumblebee from Decepticon HQ. Optimus must survive 5 minutes before Stratosphere to arrive.

Level 7: Diversionary Attack Lockdown must destroy 32 autobots before entering their base.

Level 8: Counter Espionage After sneaking inside Autobot HQ, Lockdown is sent by Soundwave to upload traces in the Autobot's mainframes by driving past the terminals as fast as possible so the virus can upload.

Level 9: Saving Lives The Decepticons are attacking a human hospital. Ironhide is ordered to protect the hospital's generators while the humans evacuate.

Level 10: Devastating News Decepticon Mixmaster is gathering all of the Constructicon parts to rebuild Devastator after his destruction in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. While Mixmaster is gathering the parts in the junkyard, Soundwave scrambles Stratosphere's missle lock on the Decepticons.

Level 11: Trashing Dreams Ironhide is deployed to the junkyard and is on assignment to destroy all of the Decepticons carrying the Constructicon parts. You must destroy all 12 decepticon transports to complete the level.

Level 12: Sound Of Success After killing Mixmaster, Ironhide faces off against Soundwave and defeats him, but is ordered back to base before he can finish the decepticon off.

Level 13: Optimal Escape Lockdown, still inside Autobot HQ, attempts to escape after successfully uploading the virus. Starscream assists by warning him to avoid Optimus Prime and attatches the locations of the gate controls on Lockdown's map, which Lockdown needs to destroy in order to escape.

Level 14: Siberian Storm After learning of Megatron's mission to reactivate Shockwave, Ironhide's mission is to destroy all three generators simultaneously in order to lower the force field protecting the Decepticon's Siberian lair so that the Autobots may thwart Megatron in bringing back the deadly cybertronian assasin.

Level 15: Hour of Defense Play as Soundwave to defeat Mirage as ordered by Megatron to buy him time in reactivating Shockwave.

Level 16: Shockwave's return Megatron, with Autobots swarming the base, destroys the three core pilliars to hasten Shockwave's reactivation.

Level 17: Megatron's Stand Soundwave transports the reawakened Shockwave to a safe location while Megatron buys them some time.

Level 18: Final Showdown Play as Ironhide and defeat Megatron.
