In Japan, the Beast Wars: Super Lifeform Transformers (ビーストウォーズ 超生命体トランスフォーマー Beast Wars: Chō Seimeitai Transformer) franchise was left un-subtitled for only a year. During this time, the first season of the North American cartoon was aired, and the accompanying toys were released. Each year after that, the line would be rebranded with a subtitle (such as "II" or "Neo"), and more Japanese-exclusive content was added.
