Chaarantula
The Chaar spider was a large eight legged creature native to the planet Chaar. It was covered with a gray white-ish shells and had two claws on each of its legs. It was capable of seeing its environment through its yellow eyes and had two short tentacles near its mouth which could extend to capture prey.
It was capable of spinning a web which appeared to be stone-like in appearance. These monsters were known to prey on Transformers that came upon their territory.
- The true name of the creature was never revealed and, as such, the title is somewhat conjecture though Jessica Morgan referred to it as a "spider", *gasp*!

When Galvatron was leading the Optimus Prime and the Autobots to his stolen cache of metals, they approached a large web with no apparent threat. As they crossed, Galvatron flew and mockingly said that he was mistaken and Goldbug was attacked by the large Chaar spider that attempted to devour him. Fortunately, Prime and Blaster destroyed the webbing beneath the spider and forced it to plumb to the depths. The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2
