Subsea is easily swayed, and he goes to pieces under pressure. Neither quality bodes well for his long-term survival.

Autobot Military Academy cadets Subsea and Tailgate were persuaded by Flattop to undergo a rite of passage in Cybertron's treacherous Underworld. Once there, they found it populated by violent, malformed mutants. Subsea went into a gibbering panic, and was blasted into oblivion by Warhead. Underworld!
2005 IDW continuity
Subsea traveled with Cliffjumper and Rest-Q to Velocitron to investigate the disruption in the communication network. He was soon killed, along with the rest of the planet by Unicron. Unstopped and Unstoppable

A member of the Senate guard, the acrophobic Subsea was placed on the roof of the building for guard duty. As he grumbled about this, he was attacked by the Rainmakers, being shocked by Nova Storm, tumbling down into the main Senate chamber after the Seekers had collapsed the roof. We Have Deceived You
