Big Shot
- Big Shot is an Autobot Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Big Shot is the leader of the Battle Patrol, and he likes to think inside the box. This makes him efficient and reliable, but since it seems like every other Micromaster is a hothead who doesn't play by the rules, it also makes him a bit of an outsider.[1] Luckily, he comes equipped with a gun as long as his entire superstructure. Takes the edge off.

On Cybertron, Emirate Xaaron's resistance cell received word that the Decepticons were experimenting with a new "secret weapon". He sent in Big Shot and the Battle Patrol, part of their new Micromaster warriors, to investigate. Little did the Autobots realize the "secret weapon" was a ruse; the Decepticons needed to lure some Micromasters to them in order to duplicate the technology. Facing certain capture, Big Shot prepared to follow orders and activate the suicide button built into his team, destroying them before the Decepticons could loot their circuitry for the secrets of the Micromaster process. He couldn't do it, however, and chose to go down fighting as an Autobot warrior should.
When Roadhandler and his crew of Micromasters were sent after the Battle Patrol to eliminate any chance of the Decepticons getting the technology, they too chose to defy orders and rescued Big Shot and the others before making their escape. A Small War!
Zone OVA and manga
During the attack of the Nine Great Demon Generals on the Planet Zone Base, Big Shot (or rather his Japanese incarnation Gunlift) can be seen firing his cannon at Menasor and Abominus, obviously with little effect, as the ginormous attackers don’t even show a reaction to his shelling. So, despite Gunlift’s effort, the Demon Generals succeed in capturing the Energon Z energy source. As they retreat, Gunlift and his fellow comrades of the Battle Team Patrol board Moonradar's rocket to chase after them, and pursuit them to Earth. There, the Battle Team among other Microtransformers faces off against Trypticon and Predaking, only to find themselves again at the receiving end of the beating. Gunlift gets almost mauled by Trypticon’s flail. Luckily, Sonic Bomber and Dai Atlas arrive just in time and save the day.
Later on, Gunlift can be seen amongst the crowd cheering and applauding to the newly appointed Autobot Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas. Enter the New Supreme Commander, Dai Atlas!
Dreamwave Comics continuity
Big Shot and his friends in the Battle Patrol were among the first and most eager to sign up with the Autobots full time. He was seen prepping for a major offensive against the Decepticons right alongside Ultra Magnus and the Wreckers. Victims of the Revolution

Generation 1
- Battle Patrol (Micromaster Patrol, 1989)
- Big Shot transforms into a brown and beige Denel G-6 self-propelled gun. While the front and rear wheels of the vehicle roll, the middle set are merely sculpted and do not roll (being his shoulder joints). The turret rotates 360 degrees and the cannon can pivot up and down. In robot mode, his cannon can act as a sort of tripod for additional stability.
- He was only available as part of a complete breakfa—uh, part of the Battle Patrol, along with his teammates Flak, Sidetrack and Sunrunner.

- Japanese ID number: C-332
- In Japan, the "Battle Patrol Team" came in a different deco. "Gunlift" changed to brown with military-green robot parts. Early releases of the Team had yellow plastic parts (including Gunlift's main cannon) for some inexplicable reason, but these were changed to gray in later releases.

- The Battle Patrol Team were one of three Zone Teams to be re-released in Return of Convoy. For this release, however, a Micro Trailer was added to the set to make them line up with the other Micro Teams in the line.
