In 484, Percival stood with his leader and comrades against a Saxon invasion, with the tide against Camelot. Percival observed that the Saxons outnumbered the Britons one hundred to one and agreed with Gawain that Merlin was a worthless drunk, but King Arthur was confident in their wizard. Merlin did eventually return with a giant three-headed fire-breathing dragon, who swiftly decimated the opposition. Later, Percival and his colleagues toasted to brothers old and brothers new.

In the 2020s, Viviane Wembly initially believed King Arthur's Knights, including Percival, were more fiction than fact, stating as such to her students at Oxford University. However, she was soon informed of historical truth by Sir Edmund Burton. The Last Knight
