The Terrorbreaster is Hun-Gurrr's personal shield, and serves as the Terrorcon combiner Abominus' chestplate. It it also capable of combining with Hun-Gurrr in his beast mode, granting him the power of flight. Guns can be attached to the shield to aid its usefulness in combat. Without the Terrorbreaster, the Terrorcons are incapable of transforming into their combined form.

Basically, it's a pretty nifty tool.

Fiction

Generations Selects Special Comic

After Megatron gained the upper hand on the Terrorcons by absorbing their Angolmois Energy, they transmitted a request asking their Quintesson masters to allow them to combine into Abominus, requiring the Terrorbreaster in order to do so. The Quintessons then deployed the flying shield, allowing the Terrorcons to unite into the monstrous combiner. Abominus comic 1 Abominus later used the Terrorbreaster in his fight with Megatron, throwing it at his neck and slicing his head off! Amazingly, Megatron Omega just grabbed his disembodied head and put it back on his neck. Abominus comic 2

Generations Selects Abominus features the hilariously-named shield as the main selling point of the Power of the Primes Terrorcons' altered re-release (Abominus' original chest piece has been retooled off). It can be held in Hun-Gurrr's hand to reference his original toy's giant shoulder-mounted shield formed from Abominus' chestplate. The shield clips on to Abominus' chest when the Terrorcons enter their combined mode, allowing for a more accurate appearance to the cartoon than the original version of the figure. The Terrorbreaster has a transformation feature wherein its flap pieces can be rotated to resemble "wings", so when it attaches to the back of Hun-Gurrr's dragon mode it gives him an airborne-looking mode. The shield also features holes in both of its sides, so that Hun-Gurrr's two smaller blasters can be attached to either side of it. When going into combiner mode, the shield's flaps are rotated so that the gun posts are hidden on the underside of the shield.
