Playskool

Playskool is Hasbro's brand name for toys designed for small children, famous for products such as Mr. Potato Head. The First Transformers line was produced under this brand, as was Transformers: Go-Bots, and now the Transformers: Rescue Bots, which are part of Playskool Heroes.

Fandom

"Playskool" is also a loosely defined pejorative (sometimes written "Playskoolish") used to deride toys deemed childish. This tends to include stylized "cartoonish" designs, bright colors, gimmicks, and generally anything that was not present in the speaker's favorite Transformers when they were between the ages of 8 and 12. On a fairer note, "Playskoolishness" might also be attributed to the simpler engineering and paintjobs in more recent figures, although that doesn't necessarily reflect all uses of the term.

How this will affect children growing up on Generation 2 Beast Wars Beast Machines Robots in Disguise Armada Energon Cybertron the new movies Animated Prime Rescue Bots Robots in Disguise Cyberverse/Rescue Bots Academy has yet to be seen.
