Strangely, it is the Decepticon that uses blue lasers.

Starscream Showdown is an online game that was released to promote Revenge of the Fallen.

Synopsis

Starscream battles NEST (presumably) in the desert, until he makes his way to Optimus Prime. Starscream must then defeat the Autobot leader in order to achieve victory in his mission.

Gameplay

Starscream Showdown is a side-scrolling game. The basic point of the game is to survive as long as you can and destroy as many enemies as you can. Starscream can be made to move forward and backwards through the use of "left" and "right" arrow keys. Pressing the "up" arrow key while Starscream is in robot mode causes him to transform into jet mode. Likewise, pressing the "down" key while he is in jet mode cause him to transform back into robot mode. Projectiles are fired by pressing the "space" bar. To fight airborne enemies you must use Starscream's jet mode. In order to take out earth-bound foes, you swoop down and use his robot mode (which can run surprisingly fast).

Enemy types

Ground units

Jeep

Points: 250

The smallest enemies in the game. Not surprisingly, they can't do much damage, and have a low point value.

Truck

Points: 400

The second-smallest and most common ground unit. They can't shoot at you, though.

Tank

Points: 1000

Can do a fair amount of damage if you're not careful.

Turret

Points: 2500

The only fixed enemy. These can do lots of damage, and are difficult to destroy.

Air units

Blackhawk

Points: 100

Though not the weakest units, they for some reason have the lowest point value.

Jet

Points: 200

The weakest enemy, but can do a surprising amount of damage. They appear to be F-15 Eagles.

Super Stallion

Points: 1500

No, not him. Watch out for these guys. They fire lots of big missiles, unlike most other enemies. And to make matters worse, they fly about as safely as Swerve drives.

Points: ???

The "boss" of the game. Defeating this Monologuing Decepticon - decapitator of Freedom and Face-Ripping ends the game.
