Keiichirō Miyoshi(慶一郎三好 Miyoshi Keiichirō is a Japanese sound director. He is mostly known for foreign dubbing works including directing all of the live-action Transformers movies. He is also responsible for directing numerous other big budget movie franchises including many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films including Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and the Avengers movies. However Despite usually working for movie he also has directed plenty of DC films including The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel, Justice League, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Joker and Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey. Other non-superhero movies he's directed for include The Daniel Craig James Bond films, G.I. Joe, Mission Impossible, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Fast and Furious, Speed Racer, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, 2012, Super 8, Predator, the Steven Spielberg directed War of the Worlds, Shrek Forever After, Corpse Bride, Charlotte's Web (both the 1973 animated movie as well as the 2006 live-action movie), and the 2014 Godzilla movie.

For television series he's dubbed in Japanese, includes Freaks and Geeks, The Mentalist and the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.

While he's more known for sound directing Hollywood movies, he does occasionally work on actual anime including Lupin the 3rd, Inazuma Eleven, Megalobox, Cobra: The Animation, Tweeny Witches, and most recently Burn the Witch. He is also the sound director for the Professor Layton and Sonic the Hedgehog video games.

Notes

  • When directing for Transformers Adventure, Miyoshi attempted to emulate the dubbing style of Yoshikazu Iwanami, though the adlibbing was not nearly as extensive and fourth wall-breaking humor was non-existent.
