• In Shattered Glass Bug Bite's one fictional appearance, his pose is copied from Sideswipe's when he first appeared in Generation 2 #1, "War Without End!".
• His appearance is based on BotCon 2007's Bug Bite toy, but with red deco instead of purple, along with a mustache and monocle.
