Jazz's crackhead Star TV name, I could've sworn it was "Maestro", not "Marshall". Any agreement on this or am I going to have to summon the energy to pop in my DVD? Please don't make me do that. Please. --DrSpengler 02:56, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

I still haven't seen the Star TV dubs yet, making me feel special, yet missing out on the jokes :( --FFN 14:15, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

In fact, there is not one Autobot who doesn't like or admire Jazz.
What about Grimlock? --UndeadScottsman 14:09, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, Jazz is good at what he does. Maybe Grimlock 'admires' him for that? --FFN 14:15, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
They seemed pretty antagonistic towards one another the end of the G1 Marvel run. Plus I think a "Except for Grimlock." statement would be humerous enough to warrent it's existance. --UndeadScottsman 14:18, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
I think you can hate somebody (or at least dislike them) yet at the same time admire them for whatever they're good at. --FFN 14:28, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Whoops, I was getting Prowl confused with Jazz.. Carry on. --UndeadScottsman 16:31, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Movie move?

Just as Bumblebee was moved to Bumblebee (G1), so too should this article be moved to Jazz (G1)? - RolonBolon 00:29, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Deputy Commander?

Was he one? 85.195.123.29 04:32, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

According to "The Autobot Who's Who" in the 1986 annual he is joint 2nd in command with Prowl.

"ginormous"

Jazz says a lot of things. Are we going to link to Meriam-Webster for all of them? He didn't make up the term as far as I know. --M Sipher 09:14, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Which reminds me, I once used the word 'ginormous' at school as a kid after hearing it in the movie and the teacher called me out on it as he didn't recognise the word. 84.65.58.231 06:02, 11 October 2009 (EDT)

Pink variant

Shouldn't this article have some info on that infamous limited-edition pink variant of Binaltech Meister that Takara did as a cross-promotion with some J-pop singer?--TVsGrady 19:00, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Face ruined forever?

Would a comparison photo of the G1 toy's face degrading from the original to the Encore reissue be a worthy addition to this article? Takeshi357 18:16, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

New Mold?

Doesn`t the legends jazz vaugely resemble legends barricade? Just asking--Autobotx1010 05:51, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

P.S., Hasbro said no animated character would get the universe treatment, yet jazz, prime, and megs are. Then again, prime and megs were obious exceptions, but jazz?

Missile Launcher

Has Jazz ever been depicted using his shoulder-mounted missile launcher much in fiction? I always thought it was a pretty iconic look for him which helped make his appearance what it is but no images depict him with it. 84.65.58.231 06:13, 11 October 2009 (EDT)

Good question. Not many that I can think of. Maybe in some early UK stories. There is this cover which is pretty neat. And these two posters which are not pretty neat. Let me know if you find more. - Starfield 13:53, 11 October 2009 (EDT)
He uses it in To a Power Unknown! to fire a heat seekting missle at Starscream. If I can dig out the book and get my scanner working I'll upload a pic --80.176.139.71 05:21, 11 December 2009 (EST)

Mainpic

I uploaded Image:G1JazzIDWPrint.jpg with the intention of making it Jazz's new mainpic, but now I'm not sure if it's categorically better than the existing one. Thoughts? --Monzo 18:24, 28 January 2010 (EST)

Well, I passed on that image FOR the current image, back in the day. Why? Well, you see just as much of Jazz here as you do there, and plus it give us more artist variation. We have an awful lot of art from this Guido series as character page images. And though Guido is awesome 99% of the time, this is a pretty chunky, clunky overly-DWesque portrait of his. So it's nice to have some Mark Brooks instead. --ItsWalky 19:54, 28 January 2010 (EST)
I just can't stop staring at his hand. And then his wrist. And then...oh God, make it stop. --Emvee 13:30, 3 March 2010 (EST)
I know I'm a pain for this sort of main image criticism, but that image is really poor. Drmick 10:35, 3 July 2010 (EDT)

Disambig

(moved to end of page)

Speaking of moving things, we need to link Jazz's toy page to the disambig page.--Megatron Prime 12:59, 29 July 2010 (EDT)

Fixed that, and please place new comments at the bottom of the talk page. --Khajidha 13:05, 29 July 2010 (EDT)

Thought of a caption for Jazz running to Wheeljack in the Dreamwave continuity.

After yelling out "Wheeljack!" he could say, "I don't see you boogieing!" Does anyone agree? --Kaon Prisoner 14:39, 4 June 2011 (EDT)

who voices Jazz in the Action master commercial? Im surprised they even bothered to try and imitate Scatman —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 175.38.128.186 (talkcontribs).

Hall of Fame?

Seeing as it is confirmed that Jazz is going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, should we put up a Hall of Fame insignia or wait until he is formally inducted? 68.147.45.66 10:25, 26 February 2012 (EST)

Stevo 11:38, 26 February 2012 (EST)wait until he is formally inducted.

New main image

I feel underwhelmed by our main image for Jazz. I think we can do better! There's a few Legends card game artworks that might fit the bill, or we could just go for the original packaging art, I dunno. I'm open. I just don't think the image we have is doing as good a job as Jazz deserves. (those pinstripes on his hood are totally wrong) --ItsWalky (talk) 13:18, 11 January 2021 (EST)

If we really want to keep both modes in the image, the Forged To Fight CGI artwork fits the bill. (Seen right) --ItsWalky (talk) 13:28, 11 January 2021 (EST)
And here's some examples of Legends artworks, since we don't seem to have any inlined into our own Legends section: [1] [2] [3] (others don't give as good a look at him or use a non-original body) --ItsWalky (talk) 13:32, 11 January 2021 (EST)
Here's Guidi's Jazz artwork that matches some of the other main images we have (Megatron, Optimus, Ratchet, Ironhide), though Jazz's feels kinda chunkier than the others: [4]
FYI, the Forged to Fight model is based on a 3P toy (MakeToys Downbeat), so it's maybe not ideal. No strong opinions otherwise, though. --Riptide (talk) 13:42, 11 January 2021 (EST)
Oh, huh. WELL. Strike THAT one off. --ItsWalky (talk) 13:53, 11 January 2021 (EST)

The package art portfolio set has a big ol' scannable packaging art Jazz. [5] I think we have a smaller version on his toy page? But we could move a better scan from this to his main page and put some other toy art on his toy page, I dunno. --ItsWalky (talk) 19:24, 12 January 2021 (EST)
