Besides being the most politically incorrect building of the 1930s, the Psychopathic Institute for the Long-Term Insane was where Archibald Amundsen Witwicky spent the rest of his life.

At some point, Captain Witwicky was moved from the (more politically correct) Boston Secure Hospital to the PILTI in Baton Rouge. His psychiatrist was Doctor Curtis. He was often forced to be restrained in isolation, and his medication rarely worked.
The facility appears to have last been used in July of 1956.
In 2003, some sixty-five years after he died, Bumblebee, having Shwiggled his claims on seeing an "Ice Man", went to the institute, which he found abandoned. It was about as rotted and decayed as you would expect from a building that's been sitting empty for nearly fifty years. Prime Directives
