This article is about the Decepticon Arms Micron from Prime. For the human from Generation 1, see Ozu (G1).
Ozu is a Decepticon Mini-Con from the Prime portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Ozu (オズ) is the Arms Micron partner of Wildrider. He never forgets.

Fiction

Prime cartoon

Ozu only appears in the Arms Micron Theater segments of the Japanese broadcast of Prime.
Voice actor: Kenji Nomura (Japanese)

Ozu was hanging around when Dago F and Dago R played a game of whack-a-mole, but wasn't allowed to participate since he turned into a cannon instead of a piledriver. However, he quickly got bored of just watching and joined in anyway, transforming into a cannon and blowing the game machine sky high.

Ozu also ended his sentences with the word "zou", meaning "elephant", until one of the Dagos pointed out that he turned into a mammoth, causing him to apologize and start ending his sentences with "mammoth". Reminiscent Transformation! Arcee's Past

When Arms Micron Theater ended, Ozu joined the rest of the Arms Micron cast in saying goodbye to their audience. Ultimate Transformation! Fight! Transformers

Must... resist... pun!
  • Stunt Wildrider (Deluxe, 2012-01-26)
    • Set ID number: AM-32
    • Micron ID number: M-37
    • Energon Crystal: SP Mud
Part of the tenth wave of TakaraTomy Prime toys, Ozu is available only with his larger partner, Stunt Wildrider. He comes as an unassembled, unpainted "kit", using stickers for detail, and transforms from a robotic elephant or mammoth into a grenade launcher. As part of the Arms Micron gimmick, Ozu features numerous 5mm peg-holes and pegs, allowing him to combine with other Microns to form bigger and more ridiculous "Combo Weapons" and "Super Combo Weapons".
This mold was used to make Geki.

Notes

  • Ozu's name is a shortening of the Japanese rendition of "mammoth" (マンモス manmosu), with the consonant changed to a voiced form. Stunt Wildrider's packaging specifies the mammoth as Ozu's beast mode, as opposed to a regular elephant.
