Companion
- The Companions are a subgroup from the 2019 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Possessing a deep sense of loyalty to Pyra Magna, her faithful and battle-tested Companions always stand ready to come to the Great General's aid whenever she asks. Having served under her during the War of the Threefold Spark, many of them objected to Pyra's subsequent imprisonment after the conflict had ended. As a form of protest, some Companions have even taken on Pyra Magna's distinct color scheme.

Pyra Magna was imprisoned after the War of the Threefold Spark had ended for ignoring the amnesty granted to Turmoil, hunting him down and accidentally destroying his ship along with everyone aboard it. We Are Not Meant To Be Darkness In response, some members of her faithful crew took on her color scheme to remind others of what they saw as Pyra's unjust sentence. After the rise of the Decepticons, Optimus Prime ordered Pyra Magna released from her imprisonment in the White Tower, intending to enlist her against this new menace. Once awakened from stasis and outside for the first time in kilocycles, Pyra called out to Jumpstream, who immediately teleported to her general's side. When Optimus Prime and Megatron agreed to parlay via holographic conference, Pyra Magna was selected as Prime's in-person representative, with Strika serving as Megatron's. Pyra had her Companions hiding nearby under a shimmer field in case of treachery and sure enough, Cyclonus arrived with the intent to assassinate her. The Companions sprung into action against the Decepticons that Strika had deployed to back Cyclonus up, easily trouncing them and forcing a retreat. Pyra willingly offered her neck to Cyclonus after realizing he had due cause to want her dead, but he faltered and Pyra ordered the Companions to leave him alone. When asked, Pyra Magna told her followers that they would be fully putting their support behind Optimus Prime against Megatron for the time being. We Are Not Meant To Be Darkness
Optimus next had Pyra and her Companions aid in evacuating the besieged city of Protihex, save Jumpstream, who volunteered for an experiment proposed by Perceptor to boost her teleportation abilities. Test Flight I
