Matching outfits have become a staple within the Transformers franchise, whether it be intentional or by pure coincidence. While uniforms are also a common thing in any franchise (and real-life), Transformers is known to have an outright bizarre dress-code for many of its characters.
For the sake of simplicity, this article ignores the obvious cases of men in black or camo attire, and only makes note of the more memorable cases which had gone on to inspire other representations of those same characters in subsequent cartoons and other media within the mythos.

The Transformers cartoon
While Sparkplug Witwicky and his son Spike are an obvious choice, their attire is purely a uniform, as many of the oil rig workers and other construction or factory workers that show up in countless other episodes tend to wear this exact same outfit, complete with a yellow hard hat. However, the Witwicky family is the one that comes to mind whenever you think about "matching outfits" in Transformers, doesn't it? From 2005-2007, this family had a matching dress-code and, oh boy, it's very 80s (if you know what we mean). Spike, his wife Carly and their son, Daniel all wear matching outfits as a part of the then-futuristic fashion, including their own matching fancy dress clothing (as seen at the top of this article).
