I feel like we've had this argument before, but I still don't see why this page exists separately from Armada Blurr while Cybershark and Hammerstrike are apparently the same guy. Chip 05:51, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Because according to his bio, he's a native of Velocitron, which isn't the case for Armada Blurr. Hammerstrike's bio, on the other hand, makes it pretty clear he's Cybershark with a new name, right down to the same mention of him being "calculating and fearless". --Detour 06:16, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- But his bio doesn't say he's a Velocitron. That would certainly be the simplest reading of said bio if it existed in a vacuum, but the bio doesn't contradict the Armada-guy bio in any way. I don't see how there's any controversy here. Chip 12:27, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- While it doesn't outright say he's from Velocitron, I sort of consider that to be implicit for a character in Speed Planet packaging with a bio that's about being a former racing champion who now coaches young speedsters. KilMichaelMcC 18:33, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- As well, he has clear wheels which are generally indicative of Velocitron natives.--Rosicrucian 18:49, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's a definite positive on the clear wheels. Likewise, the Armada Blurr was never established as being a "racing champion", so why would he suddenly become one and forget everything about his days as a Cybertronian warrior? --Detour 19:52, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thing is, we're not documenting what might make sense to us, we're documenting canon. Some of the canon materials say he's Armada Blurr, and none of the materials contradict each other; something of a rarity with Transformers. The Velocitron cardback means nothing, and the wheels -- okay, the wheels are weird, but they're not conclusive. As for why the racing thing never came up in Armada, well, why did Landmine having trained Optimus never come up in Energon? This is not well-crafted fiction. Chip 22:25, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
