Misfire was an accident-prone Decepticon whose modular body allowed him to be rebuilt as necessary. Still, Starscream worried he may have been rebuilt a little too often. He instructed Blitzwing to make sure Triggerhappy didn't get too eager and reactivate the power lines while Misfire was still working on them at the Decepticon base. Coalescence

• Though SG Slugslinger is depicted in G1 Crosshairs's color scheme and SG Triggerhappy is envisioned to have G1 Sureshot's color scheme, SG Misfire is not inspired by G1 Pointblank. Rather, "Coalescence" writer Jesse Wittenrich described Misfire to be red, gray, and black, inspired by Kre-O Misfire.
