• Zaur was first revealed in an April Fools image on Derrick J. Wyatt's blog showcasing various characters who might or might not appear in the rest of Season Three.
• He is an homage to the cassette-bot, Zaur. Does this mean there's an Animated Dile somewhere?
• The name "Brontobot" was one of several preliminary names for Generation 1 Dinobot Sludge.
