Battle Lines
Battle Lines is the seventh six-part story arc published through the official fan club, by license-holder Fun Publications. The story appeared in the club's bi-monthly magazine, in issues #37 to #42.

Overview
[edit]Following the slaughter of the Elite Guard at the hands of the traitorous Combaticons, Magnum finds that the Autobot High Council have set up a new military under the command of Optimus Prime. Magnum gathers the remnants of the Elite Guard and sets out to stop Deathsaurus once and for all. The Decepticon Warlord meets the challenge, but the Elite Guard is too much for his forces, and he retreats following the capture of the Combaticons. Unfortunately for him, in his absence Megatron has taken over and he's defeated in single combat by the usurper. Megatron has the Constructicons modified so they can form Devastator, and a week later, the Decepticons attack Iacon. During the ensuing battle, both Dion and Magnum are gravely injured, but the Autobots succeed in bringing down Devastator and halting the attack. In the time following, the war escalates and Cybertron runs dangerously low on energon, forcing the Autobots to take drastic measures to ensure their survival.
