Launcher is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
He's cool and all, but he could really use some guns and missile launchers.

Launcher (ランチャー Ranchā) has a lot of guns. He forms the right leg to Gaiacross.

Fiction

Ask Vector Prime

[edit]

In the Vega Sector, the Multiforce battled the Praetorian to stop him from using the corrupted Reconfiguration Matrix to rewrite all local robotic life into loyal Scrapmetal drones. During their struggles, they evolved from Landcross into Gaiacross. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/07/22

  • Launcher (Candy toy, 2011)
    • ID number: 6
Launcher is a snap-together candy toy model kit produced by Kabaya, transforming from a robot into a Cybertronic tank with a bit of partsforming.
He can combine with any of his teammates to form the upper or lower body of a two-robot combination: his instructions depict him as the top half of "LauncherJet", while he's shown in Crush's as the bottom half of "CrushLauncher". He also forms the right leg of Gaiacross. Of course, thanks to all six members of the team having the same transformation, he can be swapped around with any of them in any combined mode.
He was sold in an individual box packed with a stick of (brick-like) gum. Though all six members were sold in identical boxes, a hole in the box lets buyers see a corner of the packed-in instructions showing which kit number is inside.
Be aware that the plastic these kits are made of is pretty soft and waxy, making part tolerances, joint friction and sticker adhesion considerably less than ideal.

Notes

[edit]
  • For years there was no information of any kind about the Gaiacross team besides that they fight Decepticons in some other dimension. Of course, pretty much all Transformers battles take place in another dimension. Ask Vector Prime would eventually give them some scant fiction.
