While the Autobots searched the globe for the Decepticon base, they used Grand Maximus as a temporary base on Matar Island. While there, they received a transmission from the Decepticons, who had taken Shūta Gō captive. Metalhawk was able to triangulate the signal and locate the Decepticon base, allowing Ginrai to go to Shūta's aid. After a successful rescue, Grand Maximus was relocated to prepare for an all out attack on the Decepticons. God Ginrai: Showdown at the Decepticon Base
