Fiction

Wings Universe

Jhiaxus, seeking to create a new unified faction of Transformers, "borrowed" personality components, forestonite, Hi-Q, and blueprints from Quantum Laboratories. One of his creations was a clone of Mirage. A Flash Forward, Part 3 When Pyro and his team arrived on Qre, Jhiaxus instructed Mirage to shut off the training systems that were shooting the Autobots. Hubcap called him a traitor, but Mirage was merely confused. A Flash Forward, Part 4 Jhiaxus later presented Mirage and five other clones to Pyro as an example of his "second generation". When Sideswipe apparently emerged from his clone tube too early, Mirage accompanied Jhiaxus to greet the newcomer. A Flash Forward, Part 5 Following the destruction of Jhiaxus's base, Mirage, Ironhide, and Bumblebee confronted the escaping Autobots, but Pyro talked them into returning to Earth with him. A Flash Forward, Part 6

Mirage was repurposed from the original Mirage's Generation 2 Go-Bot toy.
Mirage was released in 1995 as a black and yellow recolor of the Go-Bot Double Clutch, transforming into a 1:64-scale Lola T94 Indy car with through-axle construction, making him compatible with racing sets from the "Hot Wheels" and "Matchbox" toylines.
This mold was also used to make 2001 Robots in Disguise Mirage.
