Tsuburaya Productions

Tsuburaya Productions was founded in 1963 by visual effects artist Eiji Tsuburaya, and was run by his family for decades afterwords. The company is best known for producing special effects for movies and television; they started with the Godzilla franchise but ultimately became famous for its work on the Ultraman franchise. In addition to its live-action work, the company has also done a fair amount of work with animated projects, including the in-between work on Pokémon and "animation cooperation" and "production cooperation" with the Martian Successor Nadesico and Detective Conan television series.
