Beet-Chit
- Beet-Chit is a Waruder from the Diaclone continuity family.

Beet-Chit is the pilot of the mech Zaptrap. An experienced Waruder soldier, Beet-Chit has again and again proved his skill in pursuit and scavenge. Still, one shouldn't give them too much credit—just like the rest of their brood, Beet-Chit and Zaptrap are focused on one single thing: food. To this end, they exert a bit of control over the swarms to overwhelm whatever stands between them and sustenance.
Beet-Chit shares a symbiotic relationship with Zaptrap; in return for a bit of energy from the host's consumption, Beet-Chit gives Zaptrap some intelligence and direction beyond what his limited AI possesses. It is said that removing Beet-Chit from Zaptrap would reduce the mech to dust, but none have witnessed this. On his own, Beet-Chit has mandibles that can be used to cut enemies.
Fiction
TransTech

Beet-Chit was appointed as a Waruder Field Commander by the King Waruder. He sought to attack Earth, but circumstances took him and his troops out of the universe. Zaptrap and Beet-Chit bio
Due to quantum instability, a number of Waruder troops were transported to Axiom Nexus's distant past when they were shunted over to its universe. They formed a hive, and spent the next 20,000 years undisturbed, evolving and building an elaborate hive deep underground. Cybertron's Most Wanted
Desiring a new body to pilot, Beet-Chit found a lost Zaptrap drone in Cybertron's lower levels and, noting its similarity to his previous Kuwagatrer mech, converted it into an partially organic suit for him to control. Zaptrap and Beet-Chit bio
Zaptrap/Beet-Chit came to lead his soldiers when one of them signaled that intruders had come upon their hive. Identifying C-81 and his band of criminals as "SPACE. RO-BOTS. EN-E-MY.", Zaptrap/Beet-Chit pursued the group with a full squadron of Waruder soldiers, intent on destroying the Cybertronians. Despite more "SPACE. RO-BOTS." joining the fray against them, the Waruders were on the winning side, overpowering their foes with sheer numbers. The battle came to an end when C-81 ripped Beet-Chit out of Zaptrap, and forced the Waruder leader to negotiate peacefully. C-81 then explained to Beet-Chit that they had poisoned the TransTech population through their hive's venom. In exchange for a sample of their venom to create an anti-toxin for the TransTechs, the Waruders would be allowed safe passage to another Cybertron, where they would be allowed to eat its cybertonium in peace. Pleased with the idea of a private buffet of the "TAS-TY" metal for him and his hive, Beet-Chit agreed. Beet-Chit then led his troops through C-81's interuniversal portal to an abandoned Cybertron. - Zaptrap with Spy-Eye and Beet-Chit (BotCon 2015 attendee bonus)
- Timelines Beet-Chit was available at BotCon 2015 as an attendee-only bonus figure. He is a blue and silver redeco of the Chop Shop mold that came with the Generations Legends Class Megatron toy. He packaged came with Basic-sized Zaptrap and fellow small accessory Spy-Eye. Beet-Chit can transform into a stag beetle, a Waruder soldier, a weapon with a 5 mm handle, and a mine plow that can be attached to the aforementioned Megatron's tank mode. He features gearing that opens his pinchers when his legs are moved.
- He is admittedly simple, as his transformation from Waruder soldier to beetle is just placing him flat on his chest.
- This mold was also used to make Beet-Chop.
Notes
- Beet-Chit's name is inspired by the "Beet-" naming scheme of Takatoku Toys' insectoid mecha toys in the Armored Insect Corps Beetras line that would later become the Deluxe Insecticons. The suffix comes from chitin, a substance found in the exoskeletons of beetles and other insects, and as such the second syllable should perhaps be pronounced as "kite".
- Zaptrap and Beet-Chit's manner of speaking is based on the synthesized speech samples heard in early arcade games like Wizard of Wor and Gorf.
