The term Classics has been applied to several Transformers toy lines and subsets.

• 1989 — Classic Pretenders aka Pretender Classics, a subline of Pretenders that featured returning characters.
• 1990 — Classics, a European exclusive subline of Generation 1 reissues.
• 2006 — Transformers: Classics, a franchise set in the Generation 1 continuity family, featuring redesigns of prominent characters alongside all-new characters.
• 2008 — Classic Series, a subset of the Universe line that was later renamed into Generation 1 Series.
• 2011 — The Transformers Classics, IDW Publishing's line of remastered and recolored Marvel Generation 1 reprints.
• 2022 — Classic Heroes Team, a small toyline derived from the Rescue Bots franchise.

The term Classics sometimes could also mean the characters from early in the Generation 1 toyline.
