CFB Comox

Canada Forces Base Comox is located in Vancouver Island. It is not just Canada Forces Air Command's primary air defense base for the Pacific coast and a civilian airport... it's also the site of NEST Ops Vancouver! NEST's current logo adorns the base wall, and their operations are overseen by Captain Fraser.

Stratosphere was seconded to NEST Ops Vancouver and did routine patrols when contact was lost with him over British Columbia. Captain Fraser, a senior official at the base, called in an Autobot search-and-rescue team, though she didn't rate Stratosphere's chances.

The base may or may not have sent AV-8B Harrier jets to back up the Autobots. Head in the Clouds

Notes

• Canada Forces Air Command doesn't have AV-8B's, though they sure appeared to come from CFB Comox in the strip. (Comox does have other planes with bombing capabilities.)
