Hornhead (ホーンヘッド Hōnheddo) is a Laser Beast of the Bighorn Clan and a land stormtrooper in the Laser Beast forces. A model soldier, he is loyal to a fault, follows any order he is given and is ready to lay his life down in defense of his homeland. He specializes in sending enemies flying by ramming into them without regard to his own body, a strategy that has earned him the nickname "the Daredevil Buffalo" among those who oppose him (even though he's a sheep, but buffalo sounds cooler). His Shatter Horn Laser fires lasers imbued with physical force powerful enough to break bones.

Hornhead was one of the Laser Beasts who were unhappy with how their society was growing increasingly callous and machine-like, so he and several others left their underground empire and traveled to the surface of Beast where they founded a new civilization that would become the Beastformers. Part of the second —and rarer— assortment of Takara's Beastformers individually-boxed Laser Beasts, Hornhead is an anthropomorphic bighorn sheep in high-tech purple armor. His left arm ends in a three-bladed harpoon-like weapon. He has a transparent orb in his torso, revealing the elemental power of Fire, Water, or Wood when you look through it into a light source.

Nominally, he comes with the ram-themed "Shatter Horn Laser" blaster. However, there is also a chance he could come with the weapon from one of the other 11 Laser Beasts in his shipping case; matching the Beasts with their same-numbered weapons was part of the "role-playing game" attached to the line, encouraging kids to buy more of the toys.

This toy was never released in Hasbro's Battle Beasts line, not even in the limited capacity most "Shadow Warriors" were. As such, it commands a high price on the secondary market.
